Re: Report strange & suspect TMF records here

(TMX: http://tmnforever.tm-exchange.com/main. … 00349#auto)

The guy who had dedi one on the previous link has also a strange cp time there (take a look at the last cps)

http://dedimania.net/tmstats/?do=stat&a … ow=RECORDS
(TMX: http://tmnforever.tm-exchange.com/main. … 10887#auto)

This report opened quite a can of worms, as one track let to another, one player to another, all with some or quite a few entries in which one or two sectors on a full-speed multi-lap track were 10+ % faster than average. There were other similarities, like most pertaining players hailing from the same French sub-zone, and all entries occurring between Feb and May this year.

In the end nearly a dozen logins were banned and a few added to the warning list, but this took all my available spare time yesterday (and some more today), hence only now a response. And this is also why that Dedi #3 changed into #2, as you guys kept commenting on a report that was still being processed.

Anyway, thanks.

Well, just look at the cp times, it's impossible to cut on this map (i checked it on the Server). I didnt find the map on tmx, but its on BE Nascar Server where you can drive it.

A laps server isn't really practical to experiment, and this is deja-vu, resulting in the same action.

This time is impossible, the track itself has no option for shortcut as it's just fullspeed and a few curves.

Hmm, that seems impossible, unless by some extremely lucky fluke he was able to complete the second sector without that back-flip like KubiK's. Server funnyadmin1 where this was driven still has the local record, meaning it's either poorly administrated or the entry is considered valid by its admins.
mercurio8x doesn't appear to have any other suspect entries among his #1's, so I'm not right away judging this to be a relapse by a former cheater.

Does anyone else have an opinion about this record?

Well, was with him on ShootMania today and he was really nervous when I said I'll check his records again. But I guess that's not really proving anything in this matter.

Re: Report strange & suspect TMF records here

http://shrani.si/t/3c/106/2Io2rost/alex.jpg

I don't see any way of him getting that time with any kind of flip considering at which time you hit that edge of the road. As you see on the picture above you'd have to reach the finish in 1.4 sec after hitting that spot so that's unlikely to happen.

Anyway I've contacted him via MP chat to upload the replay if he has it within 24 hours, if you don't mind waiting an extra day.

2nd track: 4fAHvkiVuBQMGbumGnkpGP4DAA0

His 2nd sector looks just impossible as Jigsaw himself allready had a fast one, if needed I can try to get the replay from him.

3rd track: Ns1jA9hFoEm2vQ38SYl_IiTeqxb (storage glitch?)

I don't know how or why, but his sectors can't be seen when clicked on his time, and on tmx top10 dedi list he doesn't appear, but the entry it there, so any ideas what's this?

I think "extremely lucky fluke" qualifies as 'unlikely' too. wink

Sure, more than one.

Maybe, but I'm not wasting my time on such crappy blockmix tracks. roll

The server where it was driven is missing from the database, as are a lot of other servers. Slig is looking into that.

The #1 sector times on that UId are 8550, 1660, 4690 and the first two are the same as every other record, so nothing out of the ordinary there.

Well I know you're not wasting time on such crappy blockmix tracks, but watching another replay with good and might give an estimate of what's possible and what's not.

looks fishy to gain 0.2 at first cp

and found another one later

sir25

x0Cjqd8oYnoZ9jgzNFVQHrQouP4

this track has no cp but its just a pipe going straight, no way hes a second faster, i think his other recs also look impossible, only a few recs and nearly all are firsts

Re: Report strange & suspect TMF records here

Two players that seem to be cheating just a little to avoid detection I guess. Haven't found anything obvious with bad cp times. But plenty of failed validations and obvious cheating in race replays. Are failed validation files and obvious cheating in replays good enough to get players banned?

Possibly cheating at 0:52 just before finishing. Validation fails anyway.

Nope. I have no idea who and what is shown in those replays, and don't care either.  And validation replays are not perfect, they can show false positives. I don't know whether that's the case here, only that it's not convincing proof to warrant bans.

I can easily find more if it is not enough.
You can probably find a ton of other invalid replays here tmnforever.tm-exchange.com/main.aspx?ac … id=6051796

I investigated this login last week, found those too, but the invalidation reason is always "Wrong Simulation". I'm not entirely sure what that means, but the replays show really wacky cuts (and no impossible car physics), so maybe the engine loses track (no pun intended) somewhere.

Anyway, so far benefit of the doubt applies.

I can't really say if this counts as proof for you but it's strong evidence at least.
His oldest records were driven on testserver890 dedimania.net/tmstats/?do=stat&RGam … ow=RECORDS
His replay name prefix is also Raymon.
He is also Netherlands/Overijssel.
And he played his old maps from his old tmx account for example this: tmnforever.tm-exchange.com/main.aspx?ac … id=5977834

I tested it. If you click on validate it simulates the inputs. Wrong simulation means that with the same inputs you get another time or unfinished race. Even when only the stuntpoints value is different it's wrong simulation.
You can do "export to validate" and get another file. If you validate this you see the real time that would be archieved with this inputs(it shows something like x:xx instead of y:yy or unfinished race).

Not only at 0:52. big_smile The first 30 seconds of this are the best example to show the no wall friction hack they are using.  You clearly see he didn't lose speed when touching those walls. You will not really notice this on other spots. This is what they do to get those real looking replays that are wrong simulation.
