News

* There is now a lower limit to the records times : 8s. So records under 8s will not be stored any more.

* I made some rather complex configuration changes on the server, both to solve the broken tmstats and tmx access, and to reduce the system overload : there were 2 database replicas (with low priority on associated processes) for tmx and tmstats (both make read only accesses), it has been replaced by 1 database replica but this one is store on a ramdisk created (and contents copied) at boot time. This way it saves lot of disk accesses made by databases, so there is more disk ressources availables for the main database.

There are actually on evening about 1100 server scripts connected to Dedimania  smile

Actual database values:
- servers: 8 686
- challlenges: 113 998
- players: 389 200
- records: 3 008 240

Re: News

* The replica on a lvm of /dev/ram* devices made some problems, i changed and now use tmpfs, which is far better. Because of changes and tests the server has been rebooted several times. I hope it will be stable now.

Re: News

No it's not the right place, and i don't know how (if possible) a topic can be splitted in that kind of forum hmm

I'm not sure if xaseco log include all checkpoints times, and without it then it it not possible for sure.

Btw, even if you can give me usefull log part, i'm not sure :

1) if it would be a good thing to do
2) why i would spend several minutes to rebuild artificially a record entry.
3) if it is done for one, then why not for others ?

I already spend many time (for free!) to dev and maintain the scripts and the server, and also spend money to rent the server. I can't also do such manual changes in all cases of technical problems.
You had bad luck, and have to do with. It's not so important, there is nothing to really win except some kind of knowledgment. You jnow you made it, for sure it would have been nice to have it stored, but it's not so much fondamental.

Re: News

I am running a TMNF server and using ServerMania to control it.  I have looked all over this site trying to find out how to set up my server to use DediMania but can't find anything.  Can someone point me in the direction of how to get DediMania on my server?

Re: News

You need a server script which have Dedimania plugin (builtin or to add).

You have the scripts list there : http://dedimania.com/SITE/forum/viewtopic.php?id=146
Most of them can be found there : http://www.tm-forum.com/viewforum.php?f=28

Re: News

Hi,

For all clients scripts except (x)aseco ones, i just changed the Dedimania side script (for aseco ones i wait 1/2 days more).

This is an intermediate version before changes for the next/new Dedimania API, so if you see some strange or unusual thing please tell me (with usefull infos), so i will try to fix it quickly.

Re: News

Hi, I am the developer of TRUCK, and i have a problem with the last changes of dedimania, to be more specific, with the  dedimania.Authenticate

Before, it was returning a boolean value, but now it's returning a string, like this:

Code:

<value><string>False: </string></value>

I checked the page: http://dedimania.com:8004/Dedimania, and it says that the commands are obsolete. Is there any page with the new commands?

Thanks,
Klaus

Re: News

Don't worry about the "obsolete", it should be backward compatible and so continue to give the same result as before.

In fact in Fast i don't test the dedimania.Authenticate result but the result of dedimania.ValidateAccount, and it's probably why i did not noticed the problem.

I look at it now, i'll post again after fixing it.

Re: News

I have changed de Dedimania script version also for (x)aseco now. Tell me if some problem appear.

Note: that version has some changes which need some real use tests, as it is the base for the next api changes...

Re: News

Hi there, at the moment i'm getting overloaded with these error's
I'm running on Xaseco 1.09 at the moment, both servers that i host have the same problems, and started giving me that output
Server1
[12/15,09:44:28] Webaccess (dedimania.net:8006): Read timeout (20)

[12/15,10:17:34] Dedimania retry to send after 30 minutes...
xmlrpc_auth_cb() - response[Data][errors]
Error in method_handler.php(262): Dedimania database query failure !

Server2
[12/15,04:53:23] Webaccess (dedimania.net:8011): Read timeout (20)

[12/15,09:44:20] Webaccess (dedimania.net:8011): Read timeout (20)
xmlrpc_auth_cb() - response[Data][errors]

Error in method_handler.php(262): Dedimania database query failure !
xmlrpc_auth_cb() - response[Data][errors]

Do you have any idea how to fix this ?, the current local records are being shown as dedi records ?

Nowhere, as they aren't submitted/stored on the Dedimania master server. TMX replays are an alternative.

Re: News

Hi,

The forum had been partially hacked few time ago, so i had to use a database backup to retore things.

The "last post" info in concerned forums is not accurate for them, but the posts themselves should be there. It is anyway possible that some recent posts have disappeared, difficult to be sure.

Re: News

Hey, Fastforza (Coder from TMX). Yeah, we've been having issues without Dedimania client on PPO which uses the wooty4 controller by Buzz. Strangely, we can send records to Dedimania, but we can NOT see records from within the server.

Buzz has been notified and we are also wondering if it is NOT the controller, but our access to Dedimania to receive those records?

Re: News

maybe you can set the time field for dedimania results to an unsigned mediumint? 139 minutes really isn't enough, and would be too much of a problem?

This didn't belong in the News thread, you should have created a new topic.

Anyway, for Slig's info, this is related to this thread:  http://www.tm-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=127&t=24269

Re: News

The server migration is done.  smile

In fact it is done since early morning, but the transfer of the IP did not worked and so the replied from dedimania.net/dedimania.com did not reached the clients. It seems to be ok now.
